“I must help David”
She was unusually quiet throughout the day. This was not in character for her, as she is usually one of the more talkative students in class. She hesitated for a moment before expressing her concern to the teacher: “I must assist David.”
Naomi was worried about the teacher’s lack of recognition and what could be going on.
What did Nina know about?
How did Nina even know the name? She discovered it by herself today afternoon, and had not told Nina about it. It was also unlikely that she would have been referring to someone else, such as a homeless man.
It was a perplexing situation. The connection between Nina’s story and that of the homeless man seemed to grow as she contemplated it. She was filled with curiosity and intrigue.
