Greg’s intentions were clearer when he wanted one last moment to spend with Raven. He hoped to be able to walk him occasionally. He realized that he could not fully care for Raven, and that Samantha was already a close friend to him. Samantha refused to let him go. Samantha was aware of the situation, but she needed some time to reflect before promising Greg that she would make a decision.
