What happened to these 8 actors who were blacklisted in Hollywood?

6. BRENDAN FRASER

Fraser was a highly sought after actor until recently. Fraser played the lead in such high-grossing films as George from the Jungle and Blast from The Past. He suddenly disappeared from Hollywood. Brendan says that there were many rumors surrounding Fraser’s disappearance, including that he was either addicted to alcohol or had become complacent. But the truth is something quite different. In 2003, Fraser was having dinner with Philip Burke, President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Burke suddenly reached under the dining table and began touching Fraser all over the wrong places. Brendan left the restaurant quickly without making a fuss, since his career was at stake. He was cut off from Hollywood despite writing to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. This led him to severe depression. Fraser was able to make a successful comeback with Doom Patrol in 2019. He then received standing ovations for his 2022 drama The Whale.
