The Smithsonian Museum has an eight thousand-pound slab of quartz. The Berns Quartz is a unique stone that was found in an Arkansas mine in 2016. It now welcomes visitors to the Smithsonian Museum as part of its National Gem and Minerals Collection.

A clear quartz cluster of this size is worth millions. The cluster formed when the Ouachita mountains began to erode, exposing Berns Quartz and other deep-buried crystal veins within the Arkansas Mountain range.

Archaeologists discovered something unsettling and cool while looking beneath the water of Lake Michigan. Scientists used remote sensors to find a Stonehenge structure 40 feet beneath the surface of Grand Traverse Bay.

Stonehenge has been the subject of many documentaries on The History Channel.
