6. Blood sugar levels are reduced

Ashwagandha is known to lower blood sugar. This is achieved by increasing insulin secretion, sensitivity and production.

Insulin is a hormone that the body produces in response to high amounts of sugar. The body will then respond to a sugary meal by absorbing and storing the sugar.

Low insulin sensitivity may lead to obesity, lethargy, and other symptoms. It can develop into Type 2 diabetes.
