A man built an entire house out of shipping containers and the result is stunning

Johnny Depp basically bought a village in the early 2000s

  • Value of Property: $55.5 million
  • Year of Purchase: Early 2000s
  • Location: Provence, France

When it comes to expensive celebrity properties, Johnny Depp seems to go all out with his purchases. Rather than just buying a mansion, he basically bought a village. His estate in the Provence region includes a main building, six guest houses, a gym, an art studio, and a private restaurant. There are several swimming pools and a skate park too.

Depp bought the place in the early 2000s and has since fallen out of love with the French village. Either that, or he simply doesn’t wish to keep up with the cost of owning so many properties. He’s attempted to sell the area several times, ultimately relisting the village in 2021 for $55.5 million.
