Dupuytren’s contracture is a condition affecting the palm’s connective tissue. This condition may result in the digits bending into the palm. This condition can also affect the dexterity and mobility of some of the other digits on the hand. The affected individual may also experience discomfort and agony. Those with Dupuytren’s contracture may also experience digits that stick and jam.

Additionally, they may experience the discomfort associated with trigger finger. It is vital that you see your doctor immediately for a correct diagnosis if you are experiencing pain throughout your palm and have difficulty moving your fingers. If you have Dupuytren’s contracture, your doctor will be able to devise a treatment plan that will help alleviate some of the discomfort you may be experiencing due to the condition.
