14 Tips for Eliminating Ringworm

  1. Ringworm requires oxygen; therefore, restrict its access to it.

Air is one of the first things a ringworm infection requires to survive in the body, and one of the first ways to eliminate it, in addition to those already mentioned in this article, is to deprive the ringworm of some of its most essential resources. If you can keep a ringworm away from oxygen and light for several days or weeks, it will expire of natural causes.
If you’ve noticed the beginning phases of ringworm, try some of the other treatments we’ve described, or cover the “ring” with petroleum jelly and tape it up with gauze. At least a few times per day, replace the gauze, clean the wound as described in the first advice, and apply new petroleum jelly and gauze.

A few weeks of treatment should be sufficient to eliminate ringworm, prevent its spread, and alleviate the accompanying itching.
