14 Symptoms of Rotator Cuff Rupture

  1. Inflation

One of the most common indications or symptoms of a muscle tear is swelling. Blood will flow to the affected muscle as a result of the localized injury. As a means of preventing infection, blood will begin to collect in the area.

In addition, it begins to reconstruct the tissue using amino acids and other nutrients. Should your shoulder or arm begin to enlarge, this is a sign of the body’s natural healing process and should not be viewed negatively. However, the enlargement can cause discomfort, particularly if it begins to exert pressure and strain on the surrounding tissue.

Additionally, the edema may make it difficult to move the spine and joints normally. If swelling is present, apply an ice compress for 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off. This should help reduce some of the inflammation and alleviate some of the discomfort caused by the muscle tear.
