14 Reasons Why you have Upper Abdominal Pain

14 Reasons Why you have Upper Abdominal Pain

5. Muscle Pain

musclepain can cause upper abdominal pain. You may not be able to tell if you are feeling pain in your muscles or deep inside your abdomen. Muscle pain can be dull and achy, or it can be sharper. Movement aggravates most types of muscle pain. Standing, sitting or lying in a particular position can make symptoms worse or help to relieve them.

Certain sports, activities or exercises can cause abdominal muscles to be easily strained. The muscles can be sore for a few days. Ice can reduce inflammation and pain. Resting and not using the muscles can help them heal and reduce pain. The pain can also spread to the side, lower abdomen, or back in some cases. In most cases, over-the-counter medication, stretching and relaxation can relieve the pain in a matter of days.
