14 Lifestyle Modifications For Successful Intermittent Fasting

3.Avoid Being Tempted

If you have decided to fast for a certain period of time, you should avoid all temptations during this time; don’t break your fast because you’re hungry at 11 a.m. That would undermine the purpose of a fast, and you would immediately return to the habit of filling your body with the toxins you’re attempting to eliminate.

Identify your source of temptation and keep it far away from you during your fasting period. This does not mean that you should avoid eating if you feel like you’re about to pass out; in that case, it is acceptable to break your fast for severe health reasons, such as when your blood sugar or blood pressure drops too low.

Consult a physician if you experience symptoms such as syncope.
