14 Home Remedies for Dry Coughs and Chest Pain

3. Warm Bath

You should take a warm bath and add essential oils if you are experiencing any symptoms of a cold or flu, including a cough. The bath can do more than relax the body. It can also relieve the tension in the muscles that has built up over the duration of the illness.

You can use essential oils to boost the effects, but they are not necessary. After taking a warm shower, you will notice that many of the symptoms of flu have improved.

Be careful if you know or suspect that you may have heart disease. A warm bath can put additional pressure on your heart. Other home remedies on this list may be safer and more effective.
