14 Home Remedies for Dry Coughs and Chest Pain

14. Rest

When you feel tiredor ill or experience some of the common symptoms of a cold or flu, getting enough rest is important. Your immune system fights off illness while you sleep.

When you are sick, you should never test how long you can remain awake. Listen to your body, and rest.

You should consult a doctor if you are going to have to go to work after a strenuous or serious activity. Don’t push yourself beyond your limits when you have the flu or other conditions that put additional strain on your heart.

Rest more than you need to for as long as the dry cough lasts. You’ll feel better sooner.
