14 Common Salmonella Symptoms

  1. Vomiting

Most individuals are aware that microbes can attack the body, but few are aware that they can also attack the brain. Through the vestibular system, your brain stem is interconnected with a network of nerves. Along this route, the salmonella bacteria can affect the health of the brain. Your vestibular system is responsible for spatial awareness.

This is essentially a person’s sense of equilibrium. When the vestibular system becomes inflamed, a person may experience dizziness and loss of balance. Extreme salmonella infections have the potential to cause disorientation. This is a severe form of dizziness that makes a person feel as if the world is spinning around them even when they are seated or lying down with their eyes closed. Salmonella poisoning causes vertigo and disorientation, for which there is currently no treatment or cure. It tends to be more intense in the evening, but it will clear up shortly.
